He was introduced to the Brown Swiss breed through his wife’s family the Sprengeler’s and Arthurst Farm of Plato, MN, breeders of Arthurst Garbro Diablo 54B329. Current NGG bulls Daredevil, Diego, and Defender all trace back to the Arthurst Garbro Dixie cow. It didn’t take long to be around those big brown cows, and he was hooked.
Scott resides in Shawano, WI, with his wife Ashley and children Jocelyn, Sawyer, Aria, and Jace. They own a dozen head of Brown Swiss under the On-WI prefix that are housed at local area farms and enjoy showing at the Minnesota State Fair, Wisconsin State Show, and other local shows. Scott and Ashley are active members of the Wisconsin Brown Swiss Association and serve on their canton board. They hope to pass on their love for the big brown cow to their kids as they grow.
